Head to body Length 170-250 cm (5.6-8.3 feet )

Tail Length :  45-65 cm (18-26 inches)

Horn Length : 75-100 cm ( 30-40 inches )

Height : 110-130 cm (3.6-4.3 feet)

Weight : 240-400 kg (525-880 lb )

Description : 

Large colorful antelope with large ears, bright chestnut to dark brown with vivid white-yellow markings and stripes; spiral-horned antelope

Range - The East African Bongo is an animal that lives in Kenya, Southern Sudan, Central Africa, and Eastern Africa.

Habitat - They live in forest, dense tropical jungles, and Bamboo Jungles.

Diet It eats grasses, leaves, and shoots.

Status - The population of  bongos have declined in population in Africa

Reason for the status - This is because of habitat destruction, illegal trapping and poaching.

What type of animal is it - It is a herbivore.

Gestation :  9 months

Longevity : 19 years
