Mammal Vocabulary

Carnivore - They are animals that eat non-vegetarian stuff.

Herbivore- They are animals that eat plant life.

Omnivores - They are animals that eat both plants and animals

Odd - toed Ungulates - They are animals with odd number of hooves.

Even-Toed Ungulates - They are animals with even number of hooves

Monotremes - An egg laying mammals.

Marsupials - They are animals with baby's in their pouch.

Primates -  They are animals with a tail.

Solitary Animals - They are animals that stay alone and not in groups.

Ungulates - They are animals that have which have large hoofs and are totally herbivores.

Bovids - A member of the cow like family

Nocturnal - they are animals that stay alive in night, but go to sleep in the afternoon.

Dicturnal - They are animals that stay alive in the afternoon, but go to sleep in the night.

Solitary - They are animals that live alone.

Edentates - They are animals that eat mainly ants.

Vertebrates - Animals with backbones

Apes - They are animals without tails.

Primitive Ungulates - They are animals which have been living a long time

Prehensile - To use for gathering something like leaves and twigs.

Marine Mammals -  Marine mammals are animals that spend the majority of their lives in or near the sea.
