Sumatran Rhino

The three Asian species are: Javan, Indian and Sumatran. 

The Indian is found in Nepal and N.E India. Their territory is grassland in swampland areas. They eat grass, weeds and twigs. The Indian Rhino has only one horn. They are the largest of all the Asian species. 

The Sumatran Rhino is found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Their territory is dense forests near streams. They eat grass, weeds and twigs. The Sumatran Rhino is the smallest rhino of all the Asian Rhinos and is the only two- horned Asian Species. 

Javan Rhinos are found in only two Southeast Asian areas : Ujung Kulon National Park in Java, Indonesia, and Cat Tien National Park in Vietnam. 

In the Asian Rhinos, there are about 2,500 rhinos, most of them in India.
