Both sexes have horns, although the horns of rams are heavier and longer than those of ewes. Range - The Bontebok is an animal that lives in South Africa. Habitat - It lives in grasslands. Diet - It eats grasses. Status - At one time, only 17 Bontebok existed in the wild. Now Bontebok are extinct as wild animals and are currently raised on game farms. In recent years, the Bontebok population has recovered to 2000+ members living on various reservations throughout South Africa. Reason for the status - .
