Description 

 Eastern lowland Gorillas have short legs, long muscular arms, a wide chest, a large head and large canine teeth. The hands are broad with short digits. The body is covered with coarse black hair, which in mature males goes gray, earning them the name silverback.

Range -The Eastern lowland gorilla is only found in the  eastern Zaire, Africa.

Habitat - They are found in tropical rainforest

Diet - fruit, shoots, bulbs, a little tree bark, and leaves

What Type of animal is it - It is a herbivore

 Gestation  : 250 - 285 days

 Longevity - Gorillas live 30 or 40 years in the wild; 40-50 years in captivity.

Coat : Black. Adult males have silvery back. Possess longer faces and broader
chests than western lowland gorillas
