Description

Spanish ibex are generally brownish to grayish in color. Males are larger than females. Both sexes have horns. The horns of males are much larger and better developed than those of females. Horns of the males reach are more in length and curve back over their heads.

Range -  The Pyrenees Ibex are found in Pyrenees Mountains, and Spain.

Habitat - They live in mountain terrains.

Food- It eats grasses, leaves, shoots, and twigs.

Status - They have been extinct in the wild. They have been protected only in zoos.

Reason for this status -This is because of habitat destruction , environmental factors and,  poaching

Gestation Period  :  70 - 150 days

Longevity Period  : 15- 20 years
