Procyonidae are raccoons, Coatis, Kinkajous, ring tails and Olingos.

All are medium sized with a long body and tail broad faces and erects ears.

 Apart from Kinkajou they also share mask like markings on the face and alternating light and dark rings on the tail

This group is omnivorous and so can exist in a wide range of habitat including wetlands, tropical rainforests, coniferous forest, and even urban areas.

They are very vocal, barking and squeaking to maintain complex social structures.
