It is related to the raccoon. They have a long, pointed muzzle and a long, bushy, ringed tail. They have brownish fur on their body. Range - The white-nosed coatimundi are found from southeastern Arizona through Mexico and Central America and into western Colombia and Ecuador. Habitat - They live in tropical deciduous forest, temperate grassland, tropical savanna & grasslands. Diet - They eat beetles, spiders, scorpions, ants, termites, grubs, centipedes, land crabs. small vertebrates, such as mice, lizards, and frogs. Status - There are only a few of this species remaining left in the wild around the world. Reason for the status - This is because the White Nosed Coatimundi are hunted for their meat, kept as pets by humans, and several predators including cats, boas, and large predatory birds kill them.
